Description
These 24×36 wood cabin plans give you a modern lean cabin with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and a sleeping loft. The 24′ x 36′ footprint holds 864 square feet on the main level, finished with light natural wood siding, a single-slope roof and a full-height glass wall facing the front deck.
Two 12′ x 11′ bedrooms sit at the back with a bathroom and a laundry room between them, off a small foyer. The front of the cabin is one open 26′-8″ x 11′-8″ kitchen and living room with a high bar, and a spiral stair in the corner leads up to the sleeping loft, which is open to the room below.
The pale wood siding and simple lines give it a calm Scandinavian look that blends into the trees. An 8′ front deck with a 4′ covered shade runs across the glass wall. It is one simple rectangle on a monolithic slab, so it is easy for an owner-builder to plan and for a contractor to price.
