License Agreement
What you can and cannot do with a plan you buy from Modern House Blueprint.
In short
- One purchase covers one build on one site.
- Share the plans with your builder, engineer and permit office.
- Modify the plans for your own project.
- Do not resell, share online or reuse the design for other builds.
01What your purchase includes
When you buy a plan, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use that plan to build one structure on one site.
The copyright and ownership of the design stay with Modern House Blueprint. You are buying the right to use the plan, not the design itself.
02What you can and cannot do
You may
- Print as many copies as your project needs
- Share the files with your contractor, architect, engineer, lender and building department
- Modify the plan, yourself or through a professional, for this one build
- Edit the CAD files, where included, for project-related changes
You may not
- Build more than one structure from a single purchase
- Resell, share, give away or upload the files anywhere
- Use the design or a modified version in a plan catalog or marketplace
- Remove our name or copyright notices
- Claim the design as your own work
03Building the same plan again
Each additional build needs its own license. Buy the plan again for each build, or email [email protected] if you are a builder planning several homes.
04Modified plans
Changing a plan does not create a new design. Modified versions are still covered by this license and by our copyright.
05Codes, permits and professional review
Our plans are not stamped. Building codes, zoning and site conditions vary by location. You are responsible for having the plans reviewed, engineered or stamped where your local authority requires it.
06Misuse of the plans
Using or sharing the plans outside this license ends your right to use them and may lead to legal action to protect our copyright.
