Description
This 36×24 Scandinavian cabin plan gives you a glass-front lean cabin with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and a sleeping loft under a single-slope roof. The 36′ x 24′ footprint holds 864 square feet on the main level, and a full-height glass wall opens the living room straight onto an 8′ front deck.
The layout keeps sleeping and living apart. A small foyer at the center connects the two 12′ x 11′ bedrooms, one at each end of the cabin, with the bathroom and a separate laundry room between them. The open kitchen and living area runs the full 26′-8″ x 11′-8″ along the front, with a high bar for casual meals and a spiral stair up to the sleeping loft, which is open to the living room below.
The lean roof rises from 8′ on the low side to 15′ on the high side, so the glass wall grows taller toward the view and the loft gets real headroom. Light vertical wood siding, black window frames and one plain rectangle give it a clean Scandinavian profile, and one roof plane on a monolithic slab keeps the framing simple for an owner-builder and easy for a contractor to price.
