Plans and files
What is included in a plan set?
Each plan includes the drawings listed on its product page. A typical set covers 11 drawing types, from floor plans and elevations to framing, electrical, plumbing and material information. See a full sample on What’s Included.
Do you offer PDF and CAD files?
Every plan comes as a PDF. Editable CAD files are available on selected plans, and the product page lists the exact files included.
Can I print the plans?
Yes. Print as many copies as your project needs, at home or at any print shop.
Ordering and delivery
How much do your plans cost?
Every plan in our collection is $99.
How will I receive my plans?
Plans are delivered as a digital download after checkout. No physical set is shipped.
Can I get a refund?
If you have not downloaded the files yet, email us and we will review it. Downloaded plans are generally final, but we will always fix or replace faulty files. Read the Refund Policy.
What if I have a problem with my order?
Email [email protected] with your order number and we will help.
Building and permits
Are the plans ready to build?
Our plans give detailed information for planning and construction. Your local building department may require review or changes for your area.
Can I use the plans to get a building permit?
Permit rules vary by location. Many US areas base their rules on the International Residential Code, but your building department may also ask for site-specific information, engineering or a local professional’s stamp.
How many times can I build a plan?
One purchase covers one build on one site. To build again, buy the plan again. Details are in our plan license.
Custom work and support
Can I change an existing plan?
Yes. We offer modifications to layouts, sizes, rooms, doors and windows. Start on Custom Plans.
Do you create fully custom plans?
Yes. Tell us about your project and we will review your requirements.
